AASHE STARS

Indiana University is a proud member of AASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Among AASHE's resources is STARS - Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System, a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. It encompasses long-term sustainability goals for already high-achieving institutions, as well as entry points of recognition for institutions that are taking first steps toward sustainability.

Association for the Advancement of Higher Education

AASHE is the leading association for the advancement of sustainability in higher education. They serve a full range of higher education faculty, administrators, staff and students who are change agents and drivers of sustainability innovation. AASHE was established in 2005 to help coordinate and strengthen campus sustainability efforts at regional and national levels, and to serve as the first North American professional association for those interested in advancing campus sustainability.
