2020 Indiana Sustainability and Resilience Conference: 
Now a Two-Day Virtual Event 

The Indiana Sustainability and Resilience Conference, made possible by the McKinney Family Foundation, will now be a two-day virtual event taking place Tuesday, Sept. 1 and Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 12 - 4:30 pm. Presented by the Indianapolis Airport Authority, the Conference will feature informative panels topics, presenters and speakers, expo hall and networking sessions - see the updated agenda.

The virtual format will allow attendees to gather, engage, and learn in community with Indiana’s sustainability and resilience leaders, all from the safety of their home. Using a virtual conferencing platform, we will simulate an in-person Conference experience where attendees will be able to actively see, hear, and interact with other guests and speakers in real time.

US Census 2020
Check On Your Circle: Time Running Out to Submit Census
Only about 67% of Indiana residents have filled out the 2020 Census, and the response rate for Indianapolis is even lower with only 61% accounted for! Time is running out - be sure you, your friends and family are being counted in this decade's census. 

Every person counted by the census in Indiana brings approximately $2,710 in federal funding to our community. Over the course of ten years, this adds up to nearly $30k per person! Submit the census today.

World Climate Research Programme: New Study Rules Out Less Severe Global Warming Scenarios 
A newly published study conducted by the World Climate Research Programme has narrowed the window of projected global warming scenarios to between 4.1 and 8.1 degrees Fahrenheit (2.3 and 4.5 degrees Celsius) if concentrations of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere double. A previous and long-standing report had estimated an increase in the global temperature between 2.7 to 8.1 degrees Fahrenheit (1.5 to 4.5 Celsius).
